Lead Diesel Technician

Job overview\:

• Repair company tractors and trailers as a Lead Diesel Technician in Putnam, CT.
• Act as the decision-maker during shifts when there is no manager on duty.

Responsibilities\:

• Perform annual vehicle inspections, routine preventative maintenance and replacement and repair services.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all truck systems, including engine, drive train, cab, brakes, suspension, electrical and communication systems.
• Assist the leadership team in developing associates' skills, leading team meetings and enforcing Schneider’s established parts processes.
• Encourage a safe work environment for all associates and visitors.
