Salary: NZD 160000 - 187000 per annum
We're looking for a Lead iOS Engineer to join a high-performing product engineering team working on a large-scale consumer mobile platform used by hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders. You'll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the iOS experience while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.What you'll be doing:
- Providing technical leadership across iOS development initiatives
- Driving architecture, engineering standards, and best practices
- Partnering with Product and Engineering leaders on strategy and roadmap planning
- Mentoring and coaching engineers to support their growth and development
- Leading the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality mobile solutions
- Promoting modern engineering practices including CI/CD, observability, and technical excellence
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years' experience in a technical leadership role
- Strong commercial experience building native iOS applications
- Expert-level knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable mobile systems
- Experience influencing technical direction and making long-term architectural decisions
- Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding mobile experiences and building high-performing engineering teams
