Lead Full-Stack AI Product Engineer - Barcelona (SP) - barcelona

Enthusiastic leadership role building an AI-powered precision medicine platform at UCB's Barcelona R&D Hub. You will own the platform from architecture to deployment, collaborating across clinical, bioinformatics, IT and wet-lab teams. You’ll advance AI capabilities and enable researchers to translate clinical and imaging data into actionable therapeutic insights. This role combines development, data governance and real-time analytics to accelerate drug discovery and improve patient outcomes.

• Design, build and maintain a secure, scalable web platform for precision medicine research and real-time data visualization
• Expand UI, cloud services and automated analytical workflows to support reproducible research
• Own testing, deployment, monitoring and ongoing maintenance from prototype to production-ready product
• Manage structured clinical and molecular data with traceability and access controls
• Contribute to expanding AI capabilities and multimodal data analysis (molecular, clinical, imaging)
• Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to translate needs into standardized data practices

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline
• At least three years of software development experience including deploying subscription-based web applications
• Strong programming experience with R, Python and SQL
• Experience designing scalable cloud-based systems, containerized workflows and reproducible analytical data pipelines
• Experience integrating AI into software products and analyzing imaging data
• Strong technical judgment to evaluate trade-offs, define timelines and communicate decisions
