Lead Hostess

Oversee host staff, greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure high standards of hospitality at a private club in Santa Monica.
General Description
The Lead Hostess provides a warm and professional welcome to all members and guests while overseeing the daily operation of the host stand. This role supports the host team, coordinates seating and reservations, assists with training, and ensures Jonathan Club's standards of hospitality, service, and professionalism are consistently maintained.
The Head Hostess is responsible for the following:
- Welcome and seat members and guests with exceptional hospitality
- Lead and support the host team during service
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments
- Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure efficient dining room flow
- Train and assist host staff on service standards and procedures
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand
- Assist with guest concerns and special requests
- Support restaurant operations as needed
- Remain composed and professional during high-volume service
Qualifications
- Previous Host/Hostess experience required; leadership experience preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with reservation systems and restaurant operations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Hospitality experience is a plus
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
