LEAD IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

Provides leadership to IT Specialists who support system analysis, system design, software engineering, test management, project management, release management, and configuration management functions.

Distributes team assignments; balances workload; monitors and reports on the status and progress of work.

Analyzes functional and technical requirements to determine avenues of development or modification. Participates in systems requirement reviews and prepares system change specifications.

Identifies alternative approaches to design of current or proposed systems and identifies how system modifications affect current systems. Participates in test readiness reviews and briefs technical and non-technical staff.

Serves as “Scrum Master” and is responsible for guiding the team through Agile/Scrum practices and values. Develops tools and methods to track progress throughout the life cycle of the project.

Provides feedback to leadership through appropriate reports, meetings, briefings, and information papers and briefs management on project status and significant developments.
