Lead Java Software Engineer (AWS, AI)

Summary

Lead a new team building AI-powered solutions on AWS using Java, Spring Boot, and AI agents, collaborating with an English-speaking client team.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Software Engineer to start a new team and step into a client-facing "AI Engineer" role. This position requires a proactive professional capable of working independently, collaborating closely with an English-speaking customer team, and driving the development of AI-powered solutions on AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong core Java skills to existing project infrastructure
  • Work independently without strict requirements while maintaining a proactive approach
  • Maintain tight collaboration with the customer throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with an English-speaking team
  • Meet client expectations through AI experience and theoretical knowledge
  • Perform analytical work and research in cooperation with the Architecture team
  • Develop AI Agents using the customer's Agent Development Kit in Java
  • Apply AI principles to client's features and use cases

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with core Java development, including Java 21/25, Spring Boot, and Spring AI
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, DocumentDB, S3, Bedrock, EC2, StepFunction, and SageMaker
  • Experience developing AI Agents, including LLM prompting techniques
  • Understanding of AI principles and their application to real-world features
  • Skills in analytical work and research, with the ability to cooperate with Architecture teams
  • Capability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with English-speaking customer teams
