Lead Maintenance Technician

Metropolitan Management Group (MMG) is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team! If you have experience or training in residential or commercial maintenance repair, this may be the job for you! This role will be located at our Preserve at Whispering Woods apartment community in Coraopolis, PA.

- Makes regular inspections of assigned buildings and facilities to insure it is kept according to requirements.
- Diagnoses existing problems and initiates needed action.
- Plans and schedules necessary maintenance, establishing work and activity priorities.
- Prepares, plans, sketches and carries out projects.
- Maintains an inventory of equipment and supplied. Issues and orders equipment and supplies and supervises necessary maintenance.
- Performs various maintenance and repair tasks.
- Supervises skilled or semi-skilled employees in maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, cement work, masonry, and other general upkeep which involves furnishings, structures, floor covering, equipment, heating, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, and related systems.
- Maintains cost and time records.
- Schedules relief, emergency, and vacation coverage.
- Follows safety regulations and standards, and all policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining excellent communication to manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 year of prior related experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to the different properties/buildings as needed
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, appliances, painting/drywall, carpentry, heating, air handling systems, mechanical repairs on vehicles and welding is a plus
- Trade school training a plus
