🌎 Global tech company founded in 2011
🌱 Our mission is to shape the future through technology
The role
We are looking for a highly driven, hands-on Engineering Project Manager / Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer who thrives at the intersection of complex mechanical design, system architecture, and technical leadership. You won't just be managing from afar; you will get your hands dirty, working directly with the physical product and shaping it from end to end.
In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers' needs and our engineering realities. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from initial customer conceptualization to industrialization—leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-component machines and systems.
Key responsibilities
End-to-End System Leadership: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle for complex machines and complete systems, maintaining a holistic vision from initial customer contact and concept definition through to final manufacturing.
Hands-on Engineering & Problem Solving: Stay deeply involved with the product. Get on the floor, work with prototypes, troubleshoot complex system interactions, and drive technical solutions firsthand.
Customer Facing & Requirements Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Translate complex customer needs into robust technical specifications and manage expectations throughout the project milestones.
Multidisciplinary Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and synchronize cross-functional teams (mechanical, hardware, software, quality, and manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integration and alignment.
BOM & System Architecture Management: Oversee and manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accurate tracking of intricate assemblies, cost optimization, and supply chain alignment.
Design & Architecture Oversight: Shift focus from designing individual parts to overseeing the macro-level mechanical architecture. Guide design teams, conduct rigorous system-level design reviews, and ensure DFM/DFA principles are met.
Risk Analysis: Drive proactive risk analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA at the system level) and manage engineering changes with a clear understanding of their impact on the entire machine.
Testing, Validation & Industrialization: Lead system-level testing, analyze performance data, and partner closely with manufacturing to guarantee a smooth transition into mass production.

8+ years of proven experience in product engineering, specifically dealing with complete, complex products, machines, or electro-mechanical systems (not just isolated parts).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
Hands-on mentality: strong willingness to interact directly with the physical product, prototypes, and manufacturing processes.
Expertise in managing complex BOMs and overseeing system-level architecture (proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools is expected to review and guide, but the daily focus is on system integration).
Experience in customer-facing roles, with strong communication skills to manage technical discussions and negotiations.
English advanced level.
