Lead Medication Technician (AL)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Medication Coordinator (AL)is responsible for overseeing the Assisted Living medication administration program and its staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the Medication Coordinator’s daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with medication administration protocols and regulations.
  • Train Medication Coordinators on proper medication management procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of medication records to ensure accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Develop and implement medication management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate residents’ medication needs.
  • Ensure safety protocols are in place to ensure residents’ safety.
  • Address and expedite changes in residents’ health and behavior, possible side effects of medication to appropriate leadership.
  • Respect and uphold residents’ dignity, privacy, and independence.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: No.
