About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Network & Systems Support Officer to play a key role in supporting and improving technology services across our global Sourcing locations. This is a hands-on lead technical role, responsible for ensuring network, systems, security and workplace technologies are stable, effective and fit for purpose. You will act as an escalation point for complex issues, lead the coordination of agreed technology projects and rollouts, and work closely with Group Technology teams, suppliers and local stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

It plays an important leadership role through technical expertise, ownership, coaching and influence. You will help raise capability across local support colleagues, improve ways of working, and identify opportunities to make technology support more proactive, consistent and colleague-focused.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of complex technical issues in network, server, security and workplace technologies

  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents

  • Investigate issues, coordinate resolution and keep stakeholders updated

  • Monitor infrastructure health, support preventative maintenance and identify recurring service risks

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and operating guidance to support consistent ways of working

  • Own and drive service improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing practical opportunities to enhance support and service delivery

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of agreed technology rollouts, including network, server, security, meeting-room and workplace technology upgrades across sourcing locations

  • Develop practical rollout plans and schedules within the scope agreed with the Network & Systems Manager

  • Partner with Group Technology teams, local support colleagues and suppliers to coordinate implementation

  • Build strong partnership with Sourcing teams, Group Technology and other relevant stakeholders

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Awareness of Microsoft 365, AI-enabled tools and workplace technologies

  • Relevant experience in network, systems, infrastructure or advanced IT support, including Microsoft-based environments

  • Strong knowledge of network, server and security technologies, with sound troubleshooting and problem-solving capability

  • Experience coordinating technical implementations, infrastructure changes or project rollouts across teams, suppliers or locations

  • Strong ownership mindset, with the judgement to act independently, escalate appropriately and drive issues through to completion

  • Ability to lead through expertise, influence and collaboration, even without direct line management responsibility

  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Experience working with third-party technology suppliers

  • Ability to coach, guide and build capability in colleagues with different levels of technical confidence

Benefits

  • Flexible working arrangements

  • Annual bonus scheme

  • Annual leave entitlement, based on local policy

  • Life and medical insurance cover, where applicable

  • External education reimbursement, where applicable
