Lead Python Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Python Automation Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves safeguarding software quality and reliability through comprehensive Python-based automation testing. Responsibilities

• Build and implement sophisticated automated testing solutions leveraging Python and Selenium
• Create test cases and test plans that support automation efforts
• Apply BDD framework tools, particularly Pytest, to improve testing efficiency
• Partner with development and QA teams to grasp system requirements and functionalities
• Work with SOAP and REST services in test environments, demonstrating solid understanding of SOA architecture
• Investigate and resolve test results, identifying opportunities to enhance the software
• Keep test documentation accurate and organized, including checklists and test case logs
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment, adjusting to rapid iterations and feedback cycles
• Regularly enhance technical expertise in automation tools and frameworks

Requirements

• 9-14 years of experience in software testing
• Strong skills in Python, Pytest, and Selenium for test automation
• Experience in software testing or development, with solid understanding of testing, coding, and debugging practices
• Knowledge of Oracle databases paired with strong SQL capabilities
• Skills in SFTP, shell scripting, and experience operating within SOA architecture
• Sharp analytical thinking with careful attention to detail
• Ability to design formal test cases based on given requirements
• Willingness to work within Scrum practices including stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog management, and iterations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Proficient written and verbal English skills (B2 level)

Nice to have

• Exposure to API testing
• Skills in using REST Assured
• Experience managing large data sets in test environments
