Brief Position Description
Through direct interactions with management and service coordinators, the Lead Service Tech will work closely with the shop or field techs scheduling repairs and track progress along the way as well as keeping up with the ASEC ways of the shop. This position will also assist in the field by taking calls off the board and assisting technicians that reach out for support. The Lead will play a key role with coordination in the shop while keeping a balance of work needed in the field. This hybrid role will greatly help multiple departments giving the teams and departments the extra support needed to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Daily/morning check ins with shop personnel for scheduling and updating any work in progress. Shop repairs as needed based on schedule and demand.
- Tracking spend on used sales preps and rental work in progress. Increase financial gains.
- Balancing shops with field service needs.
- Putting ASEC standards in place and keeping the process obtained and moving forward.
- Supporting Technicians when and where needed to provide the best possible chance of success
- S207 Submissions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and KSAs
- High School graduate or equivalent GED required.
- Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Goal orientated meeting timelines within our reach.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills, proper phone & e-mail etiquette, interpersonal skills like active listening and conflict resolution.
- Maintenance & Repair experience, i.e. Direct industry experience, automotive, heavy equipment, material handling and/or similar experience.
- Strong skills & aptitude for modern software tools, i.e. windows-based platforms, web-based platforms, applications, diagnostic software experience, etc.
- Highly organized, comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Continuous improvement mentality – identify opportunities for improved efficiency & proficiencies as well as the ability to identify solutions for turning those opportunities into realities.
