Lead ServiceNow Developer in Hyderabad designing and building Service Portal and Employee Center experiences: custom widgets with AngularJS/JavaScript/HTML5/SCSS, Service Catalog configuration, Glide scripting, REST integrations, platform security (ACLs), and performance tuning, while mentoring and reviewing code for the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, customization, and maintenance of ServiceNow Service Portals and Employee Center experiences.
- Develop and enhance custom Service Portal widgets using AngularJS 1.x, JavaScript, HTML5, SCSS, and Bootstrap.
- Configure and customize Page Designer, Theme Builder, portal layouts, themes, and navigation.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly portals optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Implement Employee Center Core/Pro capabilities, Workspace Experiences, Unified Navigation, and content-driven experiences.
- Configure Content Publishing Applications, Content Collections, Topics, and Content Automation.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow scripts using GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideForm (g_form), and other relevant platform APIs.
- Design and implement REST API integrations and custom REST resources.
- Build and customize Service Catalog components, including Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, Variable Sets, Catalog UI Policies, and Catalog Client Scripts.
- Implement platform security using Access Control Lists (ACLs), Data Policies, Contextual Security, and Encryption Context where applicable.
- Analyze and optimize portal performance using Chrome DevTools, browser network analysis, and performance profiling techniques.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks caused by inefficient widgets, client scripts, server-side scripts, and API calls.
- Work with Scoped Applications, Update Sets, and source control tools where applicable.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices, coding standards, reusable component design, and maintainable architecture.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, UX teams, architects, and cross-functional development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and development support to team members.
