Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide a team of engineers in understanding user needs, designing solutions, and delivering high-quality software that meets market demands. This is a long-term contract, possible contract-to-hire position working fully onsite in Plano, TX.

COMP: $75/HR - $86/HR depending on the candidate's experience, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to the team.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings and code reviews to maintain high coding standards and foster individual growth.
• Take ownership of projects, define project timelines, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience; 2+ years of experience with MongoDB/Redis and messaging systems like Kafka or MQ.
• Demonstrated experience with Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON.
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including database design and data modeling with SQL and MongoDB/Redis.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
