Title and Summary
Lead Software Engineer F/TOverview• Guide a team specializing in the development of API and web security products. This team builds and maintains the security platform used by internal and external facing application across MasterCard.
Role.
• Guide system architecture and design and create scalable implementations.
• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle through Coaching, R&D, Proof of Concepts, Prototyping, and Code review.
• Coordinate with the business to identify innovative solutions and drive implementation of strategic decisions.
• Perform Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to assess and identify the technologies per the needs of the organization.
• Provide recommendations to management on selection of technologies and strategic technical directions for the team or department.
• Implement Software development processes and supporting tools per the evolving needs of the organization.
• Identify technical and process gaps, provide estimates for business solutions, define the initial scope/requirements of the project, and manage the scope during the lifecycle of the project.
• Influence the software development practices so that they are in compliance with best practices, policies and procedures.
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as an Engineer, or related field. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Scrum/Agile; Microservices/REST APIs; Java/Java EE; JSON/XML; Hibernate; Apache Tomcat; NoSQL/ SQL; SPRING/SPRING BOOT; JENKINS OR Cl/CD TOOLS.
• Rate of pay: $189,592.00 - $277,000.00 per Year
