Lead Software Engineer F/T

Overview
Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of software solutions.

Role
• Provides technical leadership to projects including architecting and creating a low-level design, working with other software engineers to drive the detailed design and implementation of highly complex applications, interfaces and integrations.
• Applies technical capabilities within own discipline to coach and develop more junior software engineers.
• Integrates at an enterprise level using third-party middleware or messaging products, or by designing and implementing custom interfaces and mapping for those interfaces.
• Responsible for performance engineering of software solutions in scope, and providing functional guidance, advice, and/or training to team members.
• Researches and evaluates tools and acquisition opportunities to support cross-domain needs.
• Focuses on using our Blockchain tech stack(s) to solve well-known problems or opportunities within payment and adjacent industries.
• Drives and fully participates hands-on in the product life-cycle execution, from idea generation to implementation to market assessment to early-stage commercialization.
• Scopes, develops, delivers, tests and iterates new innovative solutions.
• Liaises with technology, regional and commercial teams to execute.

About You
• Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, or related.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Java, Tomcat, Spring, Spring Boot, Shell Scripting, JSON, Docker, Junit, CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Rate of pay: $200,777.00 – 277,000.00 / year

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
