Lead Software Engineer (Java)
Summary
The Lead Software Engineer will design and maintain scalable backend systems for card payments, treasury management, and crypto liquidity using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL. The role involves building microservices and REST APIs while applying TDD, DDD, and CI/CD practices in a high-growth startup environment.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems. You will build REST APIs, engineer microservices, and improve systems supporting card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity. You will work with Java 25, Postgres, and Spring Boot while applying clean code, TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery.

Requirements
- Demonstrate backend development experience and fluency in Java
- Hold a bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science Mathematics Physics or another engineering or science discipline
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English
- Show a track record of building complex products used by millions in hypergrowth startups
- Learn quickly and demonstrate an ambitious results driven approach
