As Lead Software Engineer, you'll focus entirely on iOS. You'll work closely with Product Owners to drive objectives, champion engineering best practices and mentor engineers. Above all, you'll help build a culture of trust and cooperation across the team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Articulating complex technical designs and developing the technical roadmap for the iOS platform
- Leading the adoption of engineering best practices, including coding standards and design principles
- Providing hands-on technical guidance, mentorship and career progression support to engineers
- Embedding within delivery teams to plan, develop, test and release complex iOS solutions
- Driving technical debt management and prioritising remediation plans
- Deep understanding of software development principles, architecture, design patterns and modern technologies
- Strong technical knowledge for designing scalable, reliable and maintainable applications
- Proven, hands-on native iOS experience with Swift, SwiftUI and Objective-C (this role is iOS only)
- 5+ years of leadership experience guiding, inspiring and mentoring engineering teams
- Experience on complex projects, with a focus on performance, maintainability, scalability and security
- Involvement in BAU maintenance, large-scale refactors, feature development and rapid prototyping
- Hands-on experience trying out AI tools, and a natural curiosity to weave them into your everyday work
