Lead Software Engineer in Singapore providing technical leadership on complex applications: guiding design and architecture, driving CI/CD, GitOps and containerised cloud-native deployments, enforcing security-by-design, and mentoring engineers. Hands-on stack includes Java, C++, Python or Node.js.
We are seeking a Lead Software/Applications Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development, enhancement and support of complex software applications. You will guide technical implementation, promote secure development practices and ensure applications meet performance, reliability and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lead software design, development, enhancement and technical troubleshooting. Review application architecture, code quality and technical solutions. Guide the adoption of CI/CD, automation, GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices. Support cloud-native and containerised application deployments. Ensure security-by-design principles and appropriate testing and validation. Coordinate with project, infrastructure, integration and cybersecurity teams. Mentor engineers and maintain technical standards and documentation.
Requirements Degree in Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline. More than 10 years of relevant software engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience with Java, C++, Python, Node.js or other relevant technologies. Experience with Linux/UNIX or Windows, cloud-native applications and containerised environments. Good understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing and application security. Strong technical problem-solving, solution design and stakeholder management skills. Experience in regulated, safety-critical or mission-critical systems is an advantage.
