Lead Software Platform Engineer - Backend Applications

About the Role:
CONNECTIONS - Opportunities Unlimited is mandated to hire a Lead Software Platform Engineer for a leading BFSI GCC. We are looking for an experienced technology professional with strong expertise in backend development, solution architecture, Microservices, REST APIs, and Microsoft Azure Cloud to drive the design and delivery of secure, scalable, high-performance enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable Microservices and secure REST APIs.
- Build enterprise-grade backend applications using Java Spring Boot (preferred), .NET, or Node.js.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Develop API integrations and event-driven solutions using Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive solution architecture, code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI, and Spec-Driven Development to enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and global Agile teams.
- Support data integration and analytics initiatives using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in software development and enterprise solution architecture.
- Expertise in Java Spring Boot, .NET, or Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with SQL, database optimization, Kafka/Azure Service Bus, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitHub Enterprise.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, Agentic AI, and Spec-Driven Development.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Insurance domain experience is an advantage.
