  • Use Therap, ALSO’s electronic documentation system, to review and complete records.
  • Handle personal and organizational funds carefully and maintain required records.
  • Follow applicable Oregon Administrative Rules, ALSO policies, confidentiality requirements, and reporting procedures.

Support team coordination

  • Help prepare schedules during the Manager’s absence.
  • Share staffing, safety, and performance concerns with the Manager.
  • Work direct support shifts and provide assigned coverage.
  • Respond to the on-call phone or pager when assigned.

What you bring

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • The ability to organize tasks, follow procedures, and recognize when to ask for help.
  • Clear, respectful communication with people supported, colleagues, families, nurses, and community partners.
  • Careful attention to documentation, confidentiality, and follow-through.
  • A commitment to respecting each person’s choices, dignity, and independence.
  • The ability to learn and use electronic records and scheduling tools.

Additional requirements

  • Complete the required criminal history screening.
  • Hold a valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license and meet ALSO’s driving requirements.
  • Travel between assigned locations and provide transportation as required.

Work environment and physical responsibilities

Work takes place in people’s homes and community settings. Responsibilities may include personal care, helping people move between spaces or into vehicles, and responding to emergencies.

Some assignments involve lifting, transferring, pushing, pulling, or repositioning up to 50 pounds. Tasks must follow each person’s support plan, safety procedures, and required use of equipment or assistance.

Essential job functions may be performed with reasonable accommodation. Specific support needs and physical tasks will be discussed during the hiring process.
