About the Role
River Ferns Academy in Fairfield, Ohio, part of the Otter Learning family of schools, is hiring a Lead Teacher for our [toddler / preschool] classroom. We support children’s curiosity and lifelong love of learning through a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum in a nurturing environment. Your Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ohio Early Learning Standards
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom where children feel respected and encouraged
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured and play-based activities
• Maintain classroom routines and promote positive behavior
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, and share updates with families
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols
• Work with fellow teachers and take part in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old, per Ohio requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a licensed early childhood education setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and a genuine love of working with children

Pay: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on education and experience
