As a Legal Assistant you will provide paraprofessional legal and administrative support to attorneys and the legal department as more specifically described below under supervision of attorneys while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.

- Assist attorneys with employment-related legal matters, including employee relations, workplace investigations, administrative charges, litigation, immigration, employee benefits, privacy, and compliance matters.
- Maintain departmental matter files, calendars, and document repositories.
- Draft and prepare employment-related documents, including litigation holds, correspondence, chronologies, summaries, and case status reports.
- Draft and prepare non-immigrant and immigrant Visa petitions and other government filings.
- Assist with responses to agency charges, complaints, and requests.
- Coordinate collection, review, and organization of documents and electronically stored information for investigations, audits, administrative proceedings, and litigation.
- Assist with litigation management, including discovery responses, document production, subpoenas, witness files, and deposition preparation.
- Track deadlines for administrative charges, litigation matters, arbitration proceedings, and regulatory filings.
- Work with Human Resources to gather personnel records, payroll information, policy documentation, disciplinary records, and other employment-related materials.
- Assist in preparing investigation files, interview summaries, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain employment law templates, legal forms, and standard employment-related agreements.
- Conduct legal and factual research on federal, state, and local employment, benefits, privacy, and immigration laws and regulations.
- Assist with drafting and updating policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and other information as deemed necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information, legal matters, investigations, and attorney-client privileged communications
- Coordinate and prepare responses to subpoenas and other requests for employment-related records.
- Assist in preparation for employment or labor arbitration hearings.
- Provide support with IRS and DOL inquiries/audits and corrective action filings.
- Help draft and update summary plan descriptions and other benefits related communications.
- Review and process qualified domestic relations orders and medical child support orders.
- Assist with preparation of or updates to departmental training efforts.
- Help process and coordinate individual data deletion and access requests.
This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
