If selected for this position you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing technical legal support to one or more Assistant U.S. Attorneys in the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Oklahoma. Typical duties will include: Reviewing and analyzing incoming legal documents to determine what action and/or response is required; Examining, preparing, and processing a variety of technical legal documents, which are characteristically voluminous and complex in format; Monitoring the progress of pending cases to ensure that legal documents, correspondence, and other documents are prepared and submitted within established deadlines; Maintaining automated records for all appellate cases to include monitoring incoming ECF notifications and entering case information into docketing system; Performing legal research; Maintaining liaison with the courts, the Department of Justice, the Solicitor General, other government agencies, and the private sector concerning appellate matters and cases; Compiling, organizing, and indexing evidentiary exhibits for trial; Maintaining a case database to track cases and generate a variety of reports for the division; Maintaining a calendar of assigned active cases; Producing written documents and materials using a wide range of software applications.
