Based in New York, the Legal Executive Assistant will support a group of partners as part of a team-based support structure within our Legal Administrative Services Department. The firm’s Legal Executive Assistants are responsible for working with their assigned partners to coordinate daily activities and provide the highest level of administrative support and practice coordination.
The Legal Executive Assistant will report to the local Legal Administrative Services Manager and Director of Administration, taking daily direction from their assigned partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide executive support as part of a team of Legal Executive Assistants to a group of partners in our Corporate Practice.
- Collaborate closely with assigned partners to effectively manage day-to-day coordination of the partners’ respective practices.
- Maintain flexibility and a commitment to work overtime as required.
- Manage a broad range of complex administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and meeting materials, furnishing information, responding to routine correspondence, assisting with technical support, processing expense reports and time entries, and answering telephone calls.
- Manage client onboarding, billing, and relationship management activities.
- Organize complex domestic and international travel arrangements, with detailed personal and professional itineraries. Coordinate flights, hotel accommodations, car service, visas, dining reservations, etc.
- Provide back-up support to other Legal Assistants as needed. Liaise with other firm departments and key stakeholders to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients, and to facilitate collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work independently and with a team, and to delegate and manage resources effectively.
- A high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Creative, resourceful self-starter who anticipates the needs of the partners they support.
- Ability to be in the office Monday-Friday, with flexibility and commitment to working overtime as required
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience required, preferably in a corporate law firm.
- Highly skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn and use industry-specific computer applications.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
