Level 1 IT Support Technician (starting your IT career)

GravIT is a Geelong owned and operated managed IT provider. They look after businesses across Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, including medical, aged care, schools, finance, legal and trades.

Workforce Extensions is seeking career focused people to join the GravIT team as Level 1 IT Support Technicians. Level 1 is for people starting their IT career. It's ideal if you are finishing or have recently finished a degree or diploma in IT or cyber security.

At GravIT everyone in the support team is frontline. From day one you will be talking directly with clients by phone and email, helping them with the technology they rely on to do their work.

What you'll do

• Answer client calls and emails, and be the friendly, professional voice of GravIT
• Work through everyday issues with clients, including email, Microsoft 365, devices, printers and connectivity
• Set up and remove staff accounts and devices when clients have people starting or leaving
• Keep clients updated on progress until their issue is resolved
• Record your work clearly in our job management system
• Ask for help when you need it, and learn from the more experienced techs around you

About you

• You enjoy helping people and can explain technical things in plain language
• Excellent spoken and written English. You will explain technical issues to clients by phone and email every day, so clear communication is essential to this role
• You have a genuine interest in technology and cyber security
• You are keen to learn and take on feedback
• Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, are an advantage but not required
• You are based in or near Geelong and can work from our North Geelong office

Full-time, 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, at their North Geelong office.
