Library Service Desk Student Manager

Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of Library Service Desk Student Employees.

Assist in training new student employees, ensuring they are familiar with policies, procedures, and customer service expectations.

Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and address any issues or concerns in collaboration with library staff.

Maintain a visible presence at the library to provide guidance and support to both patrons and student employees.

Assist in creating and managing work schedules for student employees, ensuring adequate coverage during open hours.

Collaborate with library staff to ensure smooth communication and workflow between student employees and professional staff.

In charge of the Library building during shifts, including opening and closing duties.

Serve as the first point of contact for escalated patron issues or complex questions that student employees are unable to resolve.

Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and collaborate with Digital Learning and Experience (DLX) technicians as needed.

Previous experience as a Library Service Desk Student Employee or in a similar role.

Familiarity with library systems, policies, and procedures.

Advanced technical troubleshooting skills or a willingness to learn.
