LICENSING PRODUCT MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
ALICE + OLIVIA is seeking a highly organized, entrepreneurial, and creatively minded Licensing Product Manager to partner with Design leadership on licensing initiatives, special projects, creative collaborations, and new product opportunities.
This role bridges design, product development, partnerships, and execution, helping bring ideas from concept to market while keeping communication and details on track.
The ideal candidate is strategic, hands-on, and highly organized, with strong follow-through and a passion for licensed categories and brand partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Licensing & Creative Partnership Management
- Support the development and execution of licensing and collaborative product opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external licensing partners, vendors, and creative collaborators.
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, approvals, and communication across licensed categories.
- Ensure brand standards, creative integrity, and commercial objectives are maintained throughout the development process.
- Liaise with the Director of Partnerships & Licensing to ensure approvals and key milestones are achieved.
Creative Project & Process Management
- Partner closely with the Head of Design and Senior Director of Print & Concept Design to bring creative concepts through execution.
- Own project tracking, meeting follow-ups, calendars, and workflow management for strategic initiatives.
- Establish and improve processes that create efficiency across Design and licensing functions.
- Maintain tools, trackers, presentations, and reporting related to licensed product initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline communication between creative and business teams.
Product & Business Execution
- Serve as a liaison between Design, Product Development, Production, Merchandising, and Marketing teams.
- Monitor key development milestones and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Support product category expansion opportunities and new business ventures.
- Assist with cost, margin, and commercialization considerations throughout the development process.
- Help translate creative concepts into actionable business plans and executable strategies.
Administrative Support
- Provide direct support to leadership on project management, presentations, scheduling, approvals, and special initiatives.
- Assist with meeting coordination, sample reviews, licensing submissions, and documentation.
- Maintain organized records, reports, and business communications.
- Take ownership of administrative responsibilities needed to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Help build scalable processes that can support future team growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of experience in licensing, project management, product development, brand partnerships, merchandising, or a related function within fashion, accessories, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer products.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Design and Product Development teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable moving between strategic work and administrative details as needed.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Creatively driven, with an interest in product and brand storytelling rather than a traditional design career path.
- Passionate about product creation, with a strong interest in execution, partnerships, and business results.

$125,000 - $140,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
