LINE & Influencer Marketing Specialist (Japan Market)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Specialist, LINE & Influencer Marketing to support and execute our LINE and influencer strategy focused on the Japan market, with a strong emphasis on LINE channel management and local influencer partnerships. This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, with a hybrid work mode.

In this role you will be responsible for driving brand awareness, engagement, and community growth through LINE marketing and influencer activations tailored to the Japanese audience. We are looking for a hands-on executor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the Japan digital landscape, and can translate local market insights into impactful campaigns.

In this role you will be collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders internally, as well as external agency and creator partners in the Japan market.

Job Expectations:

• Manage and grow iHerb's LINE channel presence in Japan, including content planning, community management, and audience engagement
• Develop and maintain LINE audience segmentation, broadcast lists, messaging journeys, and communication strategies to drive customer retention and conversion.
• Plan and execute LINE CRM initiatives, including customer lifecycle programs, promotional campaigns, re-engagement activities, and retention strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement of key LINE KPIs, including subscriber acquisition, engagement, customer retention, and revenue growth through data-driven optimization.
• Translate analytics and performance data into actionable insights and optimization recommendations to improve engagement, conversion, retention, and revenue performance.
• Identify, vet, and onboard local influencers across relevant tiers (macro, mid, micro, affiliate) suited to the Japan market
• Coordinate end-to-end influencer campaign execution including briefing, content review, posting schedules, and performance tracking
• Support the development of localized content that resonates with Japanese audiences while maintaining global brand consistency
• Support with planning and execution of local media partnerships
• Partner with internal teams including Performance Marketing, E-commerce, and Creative to support integrated campaign execution
• Stay current on Japan’s social media trends, platform updates, and emerging creator and messaging channel opportunities
• Support agency partners operating in the Japan market, ensuring alignment with campaign goals, reporting quality, timelines, and brand standards.
• Assist in identifying growth opportunities and provide market-level input to support broader APAC strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• Hands-on experience executing LINE and influencer marketing campaigns, ideally with Japan market focus
• Working knowledge of LINE Business and messaging channel best practices for brand marketing
• Strong understanding of the LINE social media ecosystem, including relevant local platforms and content trends
• Experience coordinating with influencers or creator partners, including outreach, briefing, and performance tracking
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Analytical mindset with comfort using data to measure campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities
• Agility to be comfortable with changing priorities and adjusting plans to meet business needs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally across time zones
• Passion for social media, influencer culture, and the health and wellness category
• This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, with a hybrid work model
• Fluent in Japanese; and English preferred

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in social media and/or influencer marketing in the Japan market.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent professional experience require
