Summary
A systems administrator role in Basingstoke that designs, implements, and maintains Windows and Linux systems and LAN infrastructure, manages routing protocols like OSPF/BGP, and automates operations with scripting. Requirements:- Strong understanding of LAN switching technologies and IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Knowledge of QoS (Quality of Service) and DSCP tagging.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments (server and client) and Linux systems administration.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 (O365), Intune (Endpoint Management), and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Exposure to automation and DevOps tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Ansible, Terraform, and Git.
- Experience supporting MacBook/macOS environments and familiarity with Microsoft Azure is desirable.
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux systems.
- Design, implement, and support LAN infrastructure and network services.
- Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols and traffic optimisation.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.
- Support and optimize the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and endpoint management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure and automation projects.
- Ensure system performance, security, and reliability across environments.
