Linux System Administrator (SUSE)
Salary: £97,500 - 97,500 per year
Requirements:- Hands-on experience with SUSE Manager / SUSE Multi-Linux Manager (SMLM)
- Linux systems administration experience, ideally with SUSE, Red Hat, or similar platforms
- Experience with SaltStack and configuration management
- Experience with Linux patching, lifecycle management, and automation
- Experience working in virtualised server environments
- Experience supporting technologies such as Docker, Oracle, MySQL, or MariaDB
- Ability to hold or secure NPPV3-level clearance
- Implement SUSE Multi-Linux Manager (SMLM) in a complex enterprise environment
- Lead the rollout of SMLM across hundreds of Linux virtual machines
- Help automate patching and improve configuration management
- Reduce manual administration overhead
- Work as part of a team modernising the infrastructure estate
- Support a non-greenfield environment with existing SaltStack and automation tooling

We are partnering with a public sector organisation on a transformation programme to modernise legacy environments across four key workstreams. This is a 12-month contract role, inside IR35 and umbrella only, based in Glasgow with a primarily remote working arrangement.
