Job Overview

We are urgently hiring Locum Nursing Aides to support the daily care and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities at a disability care centre in Woodlands.

This role is suitable for candidates with nursing aide or personal care experience who are comfortable providing hands-on care and supporting individuals with special needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene assistance.

• Assist with medication administration and routine health monitoring, including blood pressure and diabetes checks, in accordance with care protocols.

• Monitor clients' eating habits and provide feeding assistance where necessary.

• Support clients with toileting routines and activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Assist with daily exercises and physiotherapy routines.

• Accompany clients to medical appointments and coordinate follow-up visits when required.

• Facilitate recreational and engagement activities, such as arts and crafts.

• Monitor and report changes in clients' health, behaviour and well-being to the Staff Nurse or supervisor.

• Attend to emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of nursing care or personal care experience.

• Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support, HMI Nursing Aide Certificate or equivalent healthcare qualification preferred.

• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin; knowledge of dialects would be an advantage.

• Patient, responsible and comfortable providing hands-on care to individuals with special needs.

• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Working Arrangements

• Location: Woodlands

• Contract Duration: 1–3 months (minimum 1-month commitment)

• Hourly Rate: $15/hour

• Candidates may indicate their preferred shift and working days, subject to roster arrangements and centre requirements.
