LORRY DRIVER

Job Responsibilities

• Driving: Operate a lorry or truck safely over assigned routes.
• Loading and Unloading: Secure cargo and assist with loading or offloading goods.
• Route Planning: Choose the fastest and safest routes based on traffic and weather.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect the vehicle before and after trips and report any mechanical problems.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and receipts.
• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with clients, warehouse staff, and dispatchers.

Job Requirements

• Driver's License: Hold a valid driving license (such as a Class 3 for light goods or Class 4 for heavy vehicles) with a clean record.
• Local Knowledge: Know the local roads and navigation routes well.
• Physical Fitness: Be able to lift heavy items and handle manual tasks.
• Soft Skills: Show good time management, punctuality, and communication skills.
