LORRY DRIVER
- Vehicle Operation: Drive lorries safely along planned routes to deliver items on time.
- Loading and Unloading: Secure cargo properly and assist with loading or offloading goods at various stops.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, check fluid levels, and report mechanical issues.
- Documentation: Keep accurate logs of delivery receipts, driving hours, mileage, and fuel use.
- Customer Service: Communicate professionally with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients.
Job Requirements
- Driving Licence: Hold a valid local driving licence (such as a Class 3 licence for light goods vehicles or a Class 4 licence for heavy vehicles).
- Road Knowledge: Be familiar with local routes, navigation, and traffic regulations.
- Physical Fitness: Be able to sit for long hours and lift heavy items or parcels when required.
- Reliability: Show good time-management skills and a clean driving record
