The Opportunity
Subaru Victoria is looking for a dependable, organized individual to join our dealership team as a Lot Porter & Used Vehicle Photographer.
This position plays an important role in keeping our inventory ready for customers. You’ll work hands-on with vehicles throughout the day moving and positioning them, maintaining their cleanliness and presentation, and creating consistent, professional photography for our pre-owned vehicle listings.
If you enjoy working around vehicles, have a strong eye for detail, and are comfortable balancing physical work with photography and technology, this role offers an excellent opportunity to build experience within the automotive industry.

Your Responsibilities
Vehicle Presentation & Lot Operations
Keep new and pre-owned inventory clean, organized, and customer-ready
Wash and clean vehicles as needed, including both exterior and interior areas
Position vehicles throughout the dealership so inventory is easy to access and well presented
Move dealership and customer vehicles safely around the property
Inspect vehicles and inventory areas for cleanliness, damage, missing equipment, or other concerns
Bring any vehicle or property issues to the attention of the appropriate manager
Help Sales and other dealership teams with vehicle movement and general inventory requirements
Vehicle Photography
Prepare pre-owned vehicles for photography by ensuring they are clean and properly positioned
Photograph vehicles for online inventory listings and other dealership marketing purposes
Capture consistent images of vehicle exteriors, interiors, features, and details
Select appropriate angles and framing to accurately showcase each vehicle
Check completed images for focus, lighting, cleanliness, consistency, and overall presentation
Organize and assist with the timely uploading of vehicle photographs and related inventory information
Follow dealership guidelines for vehicle photography and online presentation
Keep the photography area clean, organized, and ready for use
Team & Workplace Responsibilities
Work closely with the Sales department and other dealership teams to keep inventory moving efficiently
Follow established procedures for vehicle handling, cleaning, photography, and workplace safety
Use cameras, smartphones, cleaning equipment, and other tools responsibly and safely
Protect confidential company and customer information
Contribute to a professional, respectful, and positive workplace
Take on other duties as required by dealership management
What You Bring
The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work and understands that small details make a big difference in how vehicles are presented to customers.
You should have:
A valid BC Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
A reliable and punctual approach to work
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards
Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks
The ability to work independently while following established processes
A positive attitude and willingness to assist different areas of the dealership
Comfortable communication and customer-service skills
Confidence using smartphones, digital cameras, inventory software, and other technology
The ability to drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles is preferred
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
Automotive dealerships
Vehicle detailing or cleaning
Vehicle photography
Product photography
Online vehicle or product listings
A background in photography is helpful, but we are also interested in candidates who have a good eye for composition and presentation and are willing to learn.
What the Job Looks Like Physically
This is an active, hands-on position. The work includes:
Spending considerable time walking and standing around the dealership and vehicle lot
Getting in and out of vehicles and moving vehicles around the dealership property
Washing and cleaning vehicles using appropriate equipment and cleaning products
Bending, crouching, reaching, and lifting while preparing vehicles
Moving around vehicles to photograph both interiors and exteriors
Working outdoors for extended periods
Working in changing weather conditions, including rain, wind, snow, cold, heat, and direct sunlight
Following dealership safety practices and adjusting outdoor activities when weather conditions require it
