Machinist - Machine Repair - 1st Shift (6:45am - 3:15pm

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain complex industrial machinery, machine tools, and fabrication manufacturing equipment.
2. Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of failures, and perform effective repairs and adjustments to restore operations.
3. Work closely with Production and Tool Room teams to machine and modify replacement parts as needed to support timely equipment repairs and ensure operational continuity.
4. Perform precision mechanical work including fitting, aligning, and rebuilding bearings, spindles, shafts, gear assemblies, and other critical machine components.
5. Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new machinery, equipment, and production systems.
6. Read and interpret blueprints, machine drawings, schematics, technical manuals, codebooks, and engineering specifications.
7. Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, levels, squares, gauges, and test equipment to verify tolerances and machine performance.
8. Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and service records in accordance with company procedures.
9. Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
10. Follow all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
