Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to\:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the resort’s engineering, maintenance, and preventive-maintenance operations and workforce. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, equipment, utilities, and resort pools and grounds are maintained to high standards of safety, reliability, appearance, and guest comfort. This position requires frequent movement throughout the resort, including guest rooms, kitchens, plant rooms, roofs, mechanical areas, outdoor facilities, and service corridors. Including working in varying temperatures, responding to emergencies, using protective equipment, and remaining available outside normal business hours when required.

• Lead, schedule, and supervise the resort maintenance and engineering team reporting to the Chief Engineer.
• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, generators, elevators, pools, kitchens, laundry equipment, and building systems.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, meeting spaces, recreational facilities, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize issues affecting guest comfort or resort operations.
• Coordinate emergency repairs, utility interruptions, equipment failures, and disaster-response procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire and life-safety regulations, health standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, equipment servicing, warranties, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage maintenance budgets, operating expenses, inventory, tools, and replacement parts.
• Obtain vendor quotations and supervise contractors and external service providers.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, noise control, and minimal guest disruption during maintenance work.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members while promoting safe work practices and professional service.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food and Beverage, Security, Spa, Recreation, and senior management.
• Participate in and provide support during evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies if needed.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budget updates, incident reports, and recommendations for management.
