Purpose and Description:

Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our 60,000 sq ft production facility in Mounds View. This position is responsible for efficiently repairing and maintaining a wide variety of CNC and manual fabrication equipment to optimize uptime, productivity, and safety.

1st shift - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

2nd shift - Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties

• Perform mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of fabrication equipment including:
  - CNC tube benders, mills, lasers, 6-axis robotic welders
  - Manual mills and tube benders
  - Punch presses, brake presses, drill presses
  - End formers, saws, and cutoff machines
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Communicate repair timelines, updates, and completions clearly with team leads and supervisors
• Implement and maintain safety protocols: LOTO, chemical storage/disposal, fire extinguisher checks, and emergency lighting
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-based controls
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on production needs
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient equipment operation
• Document all maintenance activity in logs and maintenance software
• Adhere to safety policies, including lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and PPE compliance
