Management and Program Analyst
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Component Procurement Officer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of Federal Procurement policies, experience with creating written guidance materials, project management, IT collaboration tools, data analysis, and recommending process improvements.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will expert-level analyst and advisor to management on the evaluation of the productivity and efficiency of managed work and also serve as an advisor on the planning and evaluation of agency programs and resulting effectiveness issues.Typical assignments include: Review and process certification actions, maintain appropriate records, track continuous learning requirements, and assist acquisition workforce members with translating requirements. Support acquisition workforce governance activities, including serving on boards, working groups, performing compliance reviews, and other oversight efforts. Serve as a point of contact for the acquisition workforce and help coordinate with other agencies, supervisors, training providers, component leadership, and program stakeholders as needed. Draft and maintain policies, procedures, memorandums, job aids, templates, and workforce communications. Assist the CACM with special projects, workforce studies, reporting, briefings, training initiatives, process improvements, and other assignments as needed. What else do I need to know? At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
