Kāinga Ora is seeking an experienced Manager - Analytics to lead the development and maturity of our enterprise analytics capability.
This is a leadership role where you'll drive the delivery of business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science, and data modelling services, ensuring the organisation has access to trusted, high-quality insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
You'll lead a team focused on creating scalable, reusable, and impactful data products while championing innovation and the adoption of modern analytics and AI capabilities across the organisation.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
We're looking for a strategic and technically strong analytics leader who can turn data into meaningful business outcomes while building a scalable and sustainable enterprise analytics capability. Your leadership and excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across technical and business teams will be key to your success in this role.
Here’s what you will bring to the role:
- Extensive experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related disciplines, ideally within complex organisational environments
- Strong expertise in data modelling, semantic layer design, data visualisation, and BI platforms
- Proven leadership experience managing analytics, business intelligence, insights, or data product teams and developing high-performing talent
- Strong technical leadership across business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data science practices
- A strong understanding of the relationship between Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Governance, ensuring data products are trusted, secure, and fit for purpose
- Experience establishing clear separation between enterprise data products and reporting layers to support consistency, scalability, and governance
- A proven ability to develop high-quality, well-structured data foundations that enable trusted reporting, insights, and decision-making.
