Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

Position Overview
The Manager, Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating
organizational risk across all operational areas. This role serves as the primary point of contact for
contract review, insurance program management, and claims administration. This individual
partners closely with Legal, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to protect the
organization's interests, maintain regulatory compliance, and support strategic transactions and
business initiatives.

  • Contract Risk & Legal Review: Review, negotiate, and maintain contractual risk language across all agreements, including indemnification, liability, and insurance provisions; develop standard
    templates and approved language libraries in collaboration with legal counsel and department
    heads.
  • Insurance Program & Renewal Management: Lead the annual renewal process across all lines
    of coverage, coordinating with brokers, underwriters, and carriers to evaluate coverage
    adequacy, prepare submissions, and maintain complete, current policy records.
  • Claims Administration & Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for all claims from first
    report through resolution, coordinating investigations, liaising with adjusters and defense counsel, monitoring reserves, escalating significant exposures, and identifying subrogation opportunities.
  • Risk Training & Education: Design and deliver risk management training programs for associates
    at all levels, covering contract risk, incident reporting, insurance requirements, and claims
    procedures; partner with HR and Compliance to embed risk awareness into onboarding and
    ongoing education.
  • Enterprise Risk Assessment & Strategy: Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify emerging
    threats and coverage gaps; support business continuity and disaster recovery planning; research and implement tools and best practices to strengthen the overall risk management program.
  • Transaction Support & Due Diligence: Coordinate legal and risk-related due diligence activities
    for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and refinancing transactions; review title commitments, surveys, environmental reports, insurance requirements, and other transaction-related documentation; maintain transaction closing checklists and oversee completion of post-closing compliance requirements.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Coordinate annual audits, state filings, registrations, and
    reporting requirements; oversee real estate licensing compliance and renewals; monitor
    regulatory developments impacting the organization and its portfolio companies; and partner
    with legal counsel and business leaders to maintain compliance with applicable laws and
    regulations.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in risk management, insurance, claims, legal, or
    compliance-related roles
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, including
    indemnification, insurance, and liability provisions
  • Hands-on experience managing commercial insurance programs, renewals, and multi-line
    claims
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy language, and risk transfer
    strategies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate
    complex risk concepts clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of professional judgment, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
