Manager / Senior Manager, Real Estate Investments & Business Development

Our client is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Real Estate Investments & Business Development to source, evaluate and support investment and development opportunities across the hotel, commercial and residential real estate sectors.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis with commercial judgement and relationship-building skills, with relevant experience in hotel acquisitions or hospitality property investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source investment and development opportunities through relationships with property brokers, advisers, owners and other industry contacts.
• Assess potential opportunities against the company's investment objectives and strategic priorities.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment returns, asset performance and the commercial viability of proposed deals.
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies, assessing potential income, costs, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare clear investment recommendations and presentations for Senior Management, the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee.
• Support due diligence and deal execution, coordinating with relevant internal teams and external advisers.
• Develop and maintain industry relationships to build a pipeline of potential investment opportunities.
• Coordinate matters relating to management services deals and ongoing projects.
• Prepare management reports, budget presentations and materials for board meetings and strategic planning discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience for Manager level, or 8 years for Senior Manager level, in real estate investments, acquisitions, business development or a related role.
• Experience with a property owner, developer or hospitality investment company is preferred.
• Experience evaluating or supporting hotel acquisitions is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to source opportunities and build relationships with brokers, property owners and industry stakeholders.
• Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to assess investment returns, feasibility and risks.
• Sound commercial judgement, with the ability to form clear, well-supported investment recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with clarity of thought and the ability to explain complex analysis effectively.
• A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities.
