What’s the role?

You’ll support the development of business and operational strategies for the Business and Wealth (B&W) division. Working closely with the Strategy Lead and Senior Managers, you will help shape and progress strategic divisional and distribution initiatives that support business priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will play an important role in scoping and discovery for strategic initiatives, supporting high-level solution design and help define significant business opportunities. This will include understanding the current state, shaping end-state operating models and architecture, developing strategic roadmaps, and contributing to high-level cost and benefit analysis.

A key part of the role will be preparing clear project materials and status updates to support working groups, steering committees and the B&W Leadership Team with endorsement and decision-making. You will also deliver robust quantitative insights to inform strategic choices and support evidence-based recommendations.

You will work collaboratively with project teams, B&W lines of business and distribution teams to inform the design of initiatives and support decision-making. You will also contribute to the execution of select initiatives, including operating model changes, ensuring activity is aligned to divisional strategy and business outcomes.

This role is open to Sydney and Melbourne locations (preference) and other locations within Australia.


What do I need?

  • Experience working on strategic program or complex delivery projects for enterprises of similar size or within consultancy, utilising advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support the development of materials to deliver complex ideas and concepts effectively at a board or executive-level.
  • Ability to independently lead discrete pieces of work that are timebound to project deliverables.
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills.
