Managing Director Global Banking Partnerships

You will own the global banking relationship portfolio and execute account-level relationship strategies across global systemically important and regional banks. You will manage partnership requests, escalations, new partner sourcing, and executive relationships. You will provide senior banking insight on counterparties, host visiting bank executives, and prepare banking narratives for executive, board, risk, payment product, and internal audit audiences. You will bridge cultural and structural differences between banks and exchange operations, proactively resolve issues, and coordinate strategic banking and commercial partnership workstreams with product and regional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global bank relationship portfolio.
  • Execute account-level relationship strategies across global systemically important and regional banks.
  • Manage partnership requests, escalations, new partner sourcing, and executive relationships.
  • Provide senior banking insight on counterparty credit posture, risk appetite, readiness, blockers, and operationalization.
  • Host visiting bank executives and prepare banking narratives for internal stakeholders.
  • Bridge structural and cultural differences between banks and exchange operations.
  • Proactively unblock banking issues before they become incidents.
  • Coordinate strategic banking and commercial partnership workstreams with product and regional teams.

Requirements

  • Have 15–20 years of experience at a tier-1 global bank.
  • Have deep experience in at least two areas: transaction and commercial banking, cash management, correspondent banking, financial institutions coverage, senior relationship management, prime brokerage, securities services, triparty custody, or institutional crypto banking.
  • Understand how to establish long-term trust with global systemically important banks as a crypto exchange counterparty.
  • Understand bank KYC, onboarding committee decisions, and counterparty credit treatment of crypto exchanges.
  • Understand triparty custody, security-interest structures, settlement, reconciliation, intraday flows, media-hit handling, reputational risk, sanctions screening, and AML interfaces.
  • Have meaningful experience building credibility across crypto and traditional finance.
  • Be able to cover United Kingdom, United States East Coast, and Singapore time zones.
  • Be willing to travel internationally as required.
  • Have a current right to work in Singapore without requiring visa sponsorship.
