Manual QA Engineer
Summary
Join a fintech product team as a Manual QA Engineer, manually testing a web-based application (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing), documenting and tracking bugs, and maintaining test cases and QA documentation while collaborating with developers, another QA engineer, DevOps, and the CTO. Core tools include Jira and standard SDLC/STLC practices.
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join a fintech product team developing a web-based application.
You will work alongside an experienced engineering team and another QA Engineer, taking an active role in ensuring product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of the web application, including user-facing and administrative functionality.
Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
Test new features, business logic, user flows, and different edge cases.
Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects throughout their lifecycle.
Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and other QA documentation.
Review requirements and clarify expected product behavior with the team when needed.
Work closely with developers, another QA Engineer, DevOps, and the CTO throughout the development process.
Participate in improving testing approaches, QA processes, and overall product quality.
Requirements
2+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Experience with bug investigation, reproduction, documentation, and lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
High level of proactivity, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow.
Intermediate English proficiency.
Nice to Have
Previous experience with fintech, payments, financial platforms, or other transaction-heavy products.
Experience using AI tools as part of the QA process.
Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with test automation.
