We’re now looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to join a high-energy product team focused on delivering reliable, resilient, and high-quality digital products. In this role, you will combine manual, exploratory, and automated testing while promoting a strong shift-left approach to quality. You will work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to identify risks early, improve test coverage, and ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Hands-on Cucumber experience is essential for this role, while advanced Java development skills are not required.
This position is hybrid (3 days per week) – office in Warsaw. Type of agreement – cotract of employment (UoP).

Responsibilities:
Design, maintain, and execute manual test scenarios using Gherkin and BDD principles
Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing Identify, investigate, document, and prioritize defects across development and production environments
Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Cucumber and Playwright
Build product-oriented automated tests with a strong focus on the end-user perspective
Continuously improve automated regression suites, test coverage, reliability, and maintainability
Work within a Java-based test automation environment using Java at a basic working level Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
Prepare clear and actionable quality reports covering testing progress, risks, defects, and quality status
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and overall quality strategy
Promote a shift-left approach and help identify quality issues as early as possible
Participate in and facilitate quality-focused activities such as Bug Triage, 3 Amigos, and Quality Chapter sessions
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
Share QA best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
3+ years of professional experience in software testing or QA
Hands-on experience with Cucumber — mandatory
Practical experience creating, maintaining, and executing Cucumber-based tests
Strong understanding of Gherkin and BDD Hands-on experience with Playwright
Experience with Jira and Xray for defect and test management
Basic working knowledge of Java and ability to work with Java-based test automation code
Experience with Jenkins and/or GitLab CI
Strong experience in both manual and automated testing
Experience creating product-oriented test scenarios
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with CI/CD and shift-left testing practices
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Professional working proficiency in Polish and English
Nice to have:
Experience with Agentic AI or AI-powered testing tools
Knowledge of Groovy
Experience with Shell scripting
Experience with Bruno or similar API testing tools ISTQB, TMAP, or Agile certification
Experience with DevSecOps-oriented quality practices
Experience facilitating quality-focused workshops and ceremonies
