Manufacturing Operator - Genset

Open 24d

At Cummins, we're powering the future through innovation, quality and teamwork. As a Manufacturing Operator within our Genset department, you'll play a key role in building complete generator sets that provide reliable power to hospitals, data centres, emergency services, manufacturing facilities and critical infrastructure across the world.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy manufacturing team where the work you do every day has a real impact.

What you'll be doing

As a Manufacturing Operator, you'll be responsible for assembling complete generator sets to the highest quality standards, ensuring every product is ready to deliver dependable power when it's needed most.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling generator sets using engineering drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Carrying out quality inspections throughout the build process.
  • Identifying and reporting any defects or opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and quality.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production area.

Why choose Genset?

Unlike traditional engine assembly roles, you'll be involved in building complete generator sets from the ground up, giving you exposure to a wider variety of components and manufacturing processes.

The products you build help provide reliable backup power for hospitals, data centres, emergency services and other critical industries around the world, meaning the work you do directly supports essential services that people rely on every day.

  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Put safety at the centre of everything they do.
