Manufacturing Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of optical, electronic or electro-mechanical, mechanical measurement product assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component cleaning & installation, hand soldering, and fitting on assembly units.
- Perform mechanical and optical alignment for laser tuning.
- Conduct product performance testing such as functional, leakage, laser performance, and other related testing processes.
- Conduct electrical testing/troubleshooting.
- Recommend process improvement plans.
Education and Work Experience
- Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent with 2 years or more relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Possess experience in troubleshooting automation machines and be able to read electrical drawings/schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical orders.
- Experience working on a microscope, fiber splicing, optical and laser-related products is an added advantage.
- Follow, comply and ensure good housekeeping and safety in the factory.
- Open to work beyond normal working hours when production volume is high.
