Marine Lead (Civil) - Doha, Qatar

Airswift is seeking a Marine Lead (Civil) to work in Qatar with a major oil & gas company.

Job Purpose

Lead marine engineering and manage FEED/EPC contractors to deliver compliant marine design within approved scope, budget, and schedule.
Provide technical oversight, resolve engineering issues, and monitor deliverables and progress from design through startup.

Requirements (Must Have)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering or diploma in marine or nautical disciplines, and STCW II/2, STCW III/2 certification
Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum 8 years seagoing experience, including at least 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master
  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas operations and international maritime regulations, codes, and standards
  • Experience managing offshore marine units and brownfield engineering projects
  • Familiar with berth design, marine studies (metocean, hydrodynamic, mooring), seabed dredging, and marine piles
  • LNG and/or liquid product berth experience
Technical and Business Skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and coordination abilities
  • Effective in mediation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, influencing, and creative thinking
  • Proficient in marine engineering software (e.g., Optimoor) and knowledgeable in industry codes, standards, and practices
  • SHES-focused, ethical, proactive, and self-confident team player
  • Committed to knowledge sharing, cross-discipline collaboration, and mentoring others
