Marine Service Engineer

Responsibilities
- Board vessels to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine boilers, incinerators, ballast water treatment systems, and related equipment.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliable equipment performance.
- Prepare and submit service quotations, sales slips, service reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Communicate with customers to respond to inquiries, coordinate service schedules, and provide updates on repair and maintenance progress.
- Report service findings and completed work to the Chief Engineer and ensure all assigned tasks are completed in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
- 1 year of hands-on experience in a shipyard environment, marine industry, or onboard vessel operations as a ship crew member.
- Good knowledge and practical experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine equipment effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel overseas occasionally and work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays, when operational requirements demand.
